6. A timely appeal was addressed to the Prime Minister, Hon.Ranil Wickramasinghe to suspend direct recruitment to the rank of Assistant Superintendents of Police, when the Police Dept. decided to call for applicants vide Govt. Gazette Publication dated 12th June 2015 bearing No.1919.
